Juicy garlic butter steak bites and crispy golden potatoes seared in one skillet. This quick, protein-packed comfort food is perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1.25 lbs sirloin steak, cubed

1 lb Yukon Gold potatoes, cubed

3 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp dried oregano

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter.

2. Add cubed potatoes, season with salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Cook until golden and fork-tender, about 8–10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

3. Add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet. Let it foam for 30 seconds.

4. Add steak bites in a single layer. Sear 2–3 minutes per side, flipping only once for best browning.

5. Return potatoes to pan, stir to coat in garlic butter. Add more salt if needed.

6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Cut potatoes into even cubes for consistent cooking.

Don’t overcrowd the pan—sear in batches if needed.

Serve with garlic toast or fresh salad for a complete meal.
