Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries
1 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Sponge cake or shortcake base
Instructions
1. Hull and slice strawberries, then toss with 1 tbsp sugar.
2. Whip heavy cream with remaining sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
3. Layer cake slices with cream and strawberries, repeating for multiple layers.
4. Top with extra berries and chill before serving.
Notes
